The international initiative, "Be Ready At the Work Environment (BRAWE)", is set to enhance the way students prepare for their entry into the labour market. Focused on building students’ courage and self-confidence, BRAWE addresses the challenging aspects of job-seeking, particularly effective communication with future employers, including job interviews.
At the core of BRAWE is the aim to boost students' self-assurance as they approach the future labour market. Funded by Nordplus Junior 2023 and in collaboration with Aukstaitija Vocational Training Centre, Jelgava Technical School, and Kuressaare Regional Training Centre, the project will develop educational materials tailored for young people.
These resources are designed to be engaging and informative, aiding students in better understanding and assessing themselves in a professional context. In addition to personal development, BRAWE provides opportunities for gaining international experience, building cross-border relationships, and improving language skills in English and languages of partner nations.
Spanning from September 2023 to June 2025, BRAWE's schedule includes diverse activities such as online workshops, team meetings in Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania, and interactions with local businesses. These experiences are designed to equip students with practical skills and insights into the workplace. A key outcome of the project is the creation of visual materials that guide students in crucial job preparation steps like CV writing, job interviewing techniques, and adapting to workplace environments. These materials, primarily designed for Vocational Education and Training (VET) students, will be practical and student-friendly, serving as a valuable tool for students and educators alike.
As BRAWE progresses, its developments and resources will be shared broadly, ensuring wider benefits. The project concludes with an online conference in April 2025, showcasing its achievements, followed by a detailed report in June 2025.
